On the Death of Jacques Derrida

On the death
on the death of him
on the Jacques of him
on the Derrida derriere
Jacques got it
death got him there
of your leavetaking of your rest
not evident
of your absent breath of your solace
of your storm
here begins the voyage
how terrifying at night
to have dust as a friend at the end
of the longest pier imaginable there
beats a heart floating almost submerged
unreal meaningless.
